In John 14:27, Jesus says, “Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.” Jesus doesn’t say we won’t have trouble; He says we don’t have to let ourselves be troubled. The reason why is this. When we have God on our side, we can live securely. We can experience peace.
Well you may be saying by now, Pastor Gary how can I can I experience peace with all this chaos around me. Living in peace is possible in every aspect of our day from the moment we wake up in the mornings, throughout the day as we work, and in the evenings when we return home. Wherever we are going, we can walk confidently and have peace.
This unshakable peace comes from knowing God and trusting Him with every detail of our lives, like sheep in the care of a good shepherd. Micah 5:4 says “He will stand and shepherd his flock in the strength of the Lord, in the majesty of the name of the Lord his God. And they will live securely, for then his greatness will reach to the ends of the earth.”
I’m just saying this morning No matter the things you are going through; you have someone watching over you. And even though you can’t always see it, you are secure. God’s peace is available to all of us; we just have to humble ourselves and allow Him to run our daily lives. Trust the process. We weren’t designed to carry the weight of the world, but God can.
