Rise Up
There’s a story in the Bible about a man who had been paralyzed for 38 years. He was lying by the pool of Bethesda, waiting for something to happen, waiting for someone to help him. Then Jesus showed up and asked him a life-changing question: “Do you want to be made well?” (John 5:6). When the man answered, Jesus didn’t hesitate. He said, “Rise, take up your mat, and walk!”
And guess what? That man didn’t just stay down. He didn’t make excuses. He didn’t wait for the perfect conditions. He got up!
Sometimes we’re like that man. We’ve been lying down in our pain, our struggles, or even our comfort zones for too long. But God’s grace doesn’t leave us stuck. Grace is calling you to rise up. Grace is calling you to get up from the mat of your past, your fears, your doubts, and your failures.
Let’s be real—rising up isn’t always easy. It requires faith to believe that God is bigger than your struggles. It requires obedience to step out even when you don’t feel ready. But here’s the good news: God’s grace is your strength. The same grace that saved you will sustain you. The same grace that reached down will lift you up.
So, moving forward, I challenge you to take that first step. Whatever has been holding you back, surrender it to God. Pray bold prayers. Step out in faith. Serve someone.
Speak life over your situation. Declare, “By God’s grace, I will rise up!”
Remember, grace meets you where you are, but it doesn’t leave you there. It empowers you to rise up, to step into your God-given purpose, and to walk in victory.
It’s time to rise up. Are you ready?
