Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. — Book of 1 Peter 4:8
Let all that you do be done in love. — Book of 1 Corinthians 16:14
As Valentine’s Day approaches, We can often turn our attention to flowers, cards, and romantic gestures. While those expressions can be beautiful, God calls us to something even deeper—a love that reflects His heart. Biblical love is not just a feeling; it is a decision. It is patient when it’s inconvenient, kind when it’s undeserved, and faithful even when emotions fluctuate. Christ-centered love chooses grace over grudges, forgiveness over offense, and compassion over criticism.
Real love is not proven in grand moments alone, but in everyday faithfulness—in listening well, speaking gently, serving humbly, and showing up consistently. It is seen in how we treat our spouses, our children, our friends, and even those who misunderstand us. During this season, God invites us to examine our love: Is it conditional or Christ-like? Is it self-seeking or self-giving? The love of Jesus wasn’t based on how worthy we were—it was based on who He is.
This Valentine’s season, let your love reflect heaven. Speak life. Extend grace. Offer forgiveness. Love not just with words, but with action. When we allow God’s love to flow through us, we become living examples of His heart in a world that desperately needs it.
Blessings
