Make Room

Matthew 9:23.  There’s a Synagogue Leader who was overcrowded and filled with sorrow for his daughter ….When Jesus went to Jairus’s house, Jairus’s daughter was dead, and notice this. “When Jesus came into the ruler’s house,” He saw them playing the funeral music, and the noisy crowd was wailing and weeping, and He said to them, (watch this) “‘Make room, for the girl is not dead, but sleeping.’ And they laughed at Him”.

It was overcrowded with sorrow, it was overcrowded with funeral songs, it was overcrowded with weeping and depression, and all kinds of sorrow going on in that house. But Jesus said, “You need to make room.” What is overcrowding Your life? He’s trying to get depression out of your house. He’s trying to get weeping out of  your house. He’s trying to get defeat and death out of your house. But you’re so overwhelmed and overcrowded. And then, He put the crowd outside. “He went in, took her by the hand, and the girl rose from the dead”.

I wonder what we’re missing with our overcrowded lives. You’re entangled with the cares of this life, but if you would make room for Me and go pray; if you would make room for Me, and open up the Book; if you would make room for Me and believe; if you would make room for me and forgive; if you would make room for Me, and love Me and come to me for daily bread, I will begin to walk out my blessing in you.
