For no matter how many promises God has made, they are ‘Yes’ in Christ.
2 Corinthians 1:20
By the time Friday rolls around, many of us are tired—mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. The week may have shaken our confidence, tested our patience, or stretched our faith thin. In moments like these, God invites us to stand, not on feelings, circumstances, or opinions, but on His promises.
Standing on the promises doesn’t mean life is easy. It means we choose trust over fear. God’s promises are not fragile; they don’t weaken with time or fail under pressure. What He has spoken, He is faithful to perform, even when situations shift and people disappoint, God remains unchanging. He does not revise His Word based on our performance or withdraw His promises because of our weakness. If He said it, He meant it—and if He promised it, He will bring it to pass in His perfect time.
Often, the challenge is not whether God will keep His promises, but whether we will keep standing while we wait. Waiting can feel uncomfortable and uncertain, but it is in those moments that our faith is strengthened. Standing on the promises means refusing to give up, refusing to give in to discouragement, and choosing to trust that God is working behind the scenes, even when we cannot see immediate results.
When uncertainty tries to knock us down, God’s promises become our firm foundation. When prayers seem unanswered, His promises remind us that He is still working. And when we feel weary, His promises whisper, I am with you. I am for you. I am faithful.
As this week comes to a close, let today be a day of resolve. Plant your feet firmly on what God has said. His promises will carry you through today, and in tomorrow.
